La aplicación de tecnologías emergentes en el ámbito periodístico está permitiendo la multiplicación de las posibilidades comunicativas, lo que obliga a replantearse todo lo hecho, todo lo dicho, todas las costumbres de la era de la imprenta e Internet si se quiere seguir existiendo. Así lo entiende la periodista y profesora Ángeles Fernández Barrero en su último libro, El Periodismo que vuela. Drones, 3D, smartphone y robots, tecnologías emergentes para la profesión periodística, un trabajo “imprescindible para andar este camino que abre nuevas vías de investigación en el campo de la comunicación”, como indica Antonio López Hidalgo en el prólogo de la obra (p. 11).
