    The theoretical model aims to characterize the human psyche in an systemic and integrated manner. It sets out conditions which allow to address the scientific principles of totality, universality, integrality and systematization. The systemic-integrative theory of the human psyche is based, in its genesis, on a basic system of four characteristics - space, time, energy, information, which interact on an integrated substrate (Ganzen, 1984). The psyche as an integrated system is related to the integrated substrate, the cognitive sphere to the space characteristic, the affective sphere to time, the motivational sphere to the energy and the volitive sphere to the information. This system reveals the dimension of the psychic activity in the structural, procedural and functional planes as an integrated psychic system. Another dimension refers to the consciousness as an integrative entity that conducts the specificities of memory and attention, which perform functions of integration (past, present, future) and of focusing and selecting the objects operated by the subject. The personality / individuality dimension sets out correspondences: between the energy-temporal vector and the motivational-affective vector which shapes the substructure of the temperament; between the information-spatial vector and the volitional-cognitive vector which shapes the substructure of the character; between the space-temporal vector and the cognitive-affective vector which shapes the substructure of the capacities; and between the energo-informational vector and the motivacional-volitive vector which shapes the substructure of the motivational orientation of the personality. All aspects, factors and vectors are described in terms of dimensions and also of the functional levels of the neuropsychological, psychophysiological, psychological and psychosocial systems. Therefore, the systemic-integrative theory of the human psyche presents all the requirements needed to ensure that the systemic conditions – consideration of multiple aspects, dimensions, and levels – are satisfied and provides, more adequately than other theories, the compliance with criteria of intradisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity.

    O modelo ou concepção teórica caracterizada de sistémica e integrativa do psiquismo humano denota possuir condições para responder aos princípios científicos de totalidade, universalidade, integralidade e sistematização. A teoria sistémico-integrativa do psiquismo humano fundamenta-se, na sua génese, num sistema básico de quatro características – espaço, tempo, energia, informação – em interacção num substrato integrado (Ganzen, 1984). O psiquismo como sistema integrado reporta-se ao substrato integrado, a esfera cognitiva à característica espaço, a esfera afectiva ao tempo, a esfera motivacional à energia e a esfera volitiva à informação. Enforma a dimensão da actividade psíquica nos planos estrutural, processual e funcional como sistema psíquico integrado. Outra dimensão reporta-se à consciência como entidade integradora que dirige as especificidades da memória e da atenção, as quais desempenham funções de integração (passado, presente, futuro) e de focalização e selectividade dos objectos com os quais o sujeito opera. Na dimensão personalidade / individualidade desenham-se correspondências: vector energo-temporal – vector motivaciono-afectivo forma a subestrutura temperamento; vector informaciono-espacial – vector volitivo-cognitivo forma a subsestrutura carácter; vector espacio-temporal – vector cognitivo-afectivo forma a subestrutura capacidades; vector energo-informacional – vector motivaciono-volitivo forma a subestrutura orientação motivacional da personalidade. Todos os aspectos, factores, vectores estão presentes no âmbito das dimensões e também dos níveis de funcionalidade do sistema – neuropsicológico, psicofisiológico, psicológico, psicossocial. Por conseguinte, a teoria sistémico-integrativa do psiquismo humano apresenta credenciais para satisfazer as condições sistémicas de multi-aspectos, multi-dimensões, multi-níveis e também de proporcionar, mais adequadamente que outras, o cumprimento de critérios de intradisciplinaridade, interdisciplinaridade e transdisciplinaridade.
