  • The article discusses the ongoing efforts of creationists to incorporate the teaching of religious ideas in public schools. The author begins by evaluating the ways in which evolutionary science influences modern medicine and biotechnology. The history of creationists attempting to thwart the teaching of evolution in U.S. public schools is observed, with the signing of the Louisiana Science Education Act by governor Bobby Jindal being referenced as an example.
