  • The cover story is provided which discusses the role that the discovery of the fossil of the terrestrial dinosaur Zhenyuanlong in Liaoning Province, China plays in understanding the relationship between dinosaur and bird evolution. An overview of the similarities between bird and dinosaur anatomies, including in regard to the relationship between bird anatomy and bird flight, is provided.
