    En el ciclo festivo, tradiciones y costumbres de la Villa de Lopera, se aúna tradición y religión así como actividades lúdicas y festivas. Salvo algunas celebraciones como los cascarones de carnaval, el mayo perigallo, los sermones desde el olivo o el tiro a la gallina y al pelele de trapo, todas las fiestas tienen su relación con el calendario de la iglesia y sus santos. Algunas tradiciones o costumbres ya se han perdido y son difíciles de recuperar, sin embargo aquí las hemos recogido para que al menos quede su recuerdo y el objetivo básico de este trabajo es el transmitir, las que aún se conservan a las nuevas generaciones.

    In our festive cycle, traditions and customs in Villa de Lopera, tradition and religion and put together as well as playful and festive activities. Except some celebrations such as eggshells of carnival, May perigallo, sermons from the olive tree, throwing down the hen, and the rag puppet, have a relationship with the Catholic Church and Saints. Some traditions and costumes have been lost and they bare almost impossible to be recovered. Nevertheless, we have collected them here in this work in order to preserve their memory and the main aim in this work is to transmit those ones, which our new generations are still keeping.
