Resumen de Robots e inteligencia artificial: Control de sus riesgos

La denominada «Cuarta revolución industrial», constituida por fenómenos como la robótica, la inteligencia artificial y otras manifestaciones técnicas similares, consideradas no hace mucho tiempo materia futurista o de ciencia ficción, empieza a ser una realidad cotidiana. Y aunque, según la comunidad científica, estamos sólo en los albores del fenómeno, existe una generalizada preocupación y un creciente interés por el estudio de la ponderación de sus beneficios pero también de sus riesgos, a través del análisis de sus efectos en los ámbitos económico, jurídico, ético, etcétera. En este sentido, parece urgente plantearse la necesidad del control de los avances tecnológicos, de forma que los, al parecer, imparables progresos en este campo —aunque el horizonte temporal no esté nada claro— resulten beneficiosos para los seres humanos y sus resultados, a la postre, no sean contrarios a los derechos y valores de aquellos.

The so-called «Fourth Industrial Revolution», constituted by phenomena such as robotics, artificial intelligence and other similar technical manifestations, considered not long ago futuristic or science fiction matters, begins to be a everyday reality. And although, according to the scientific community, we are only at the dawn of the phenomenon, there is a widespread concern and a growing interest in the study of the determination of its benefits but also of its risks, through the analysis of its effects in the economic, legal, and ethical fields, et cetera. In this sense, it seems urgent to consider the need to control technological advances, in order to ensure that the apparently unstoppable progress in this scope —although the chronology is not yet well determined— will achieve beneficial results for human beings and not contrary to human rights and values.
