    “The cosmophany of geographical realities”. The « dispute » (Streit) which Heidegger sees between Earth and World in The Origin of the Work of Art is here interpreted as the “as” (als) which makes earthly substance come out of its identity as that-which-liesbeneath (hupokeimenon, subjectum) by deploying its Being toward an unsubstantial predicate, which is a certain world – the World, for us whose world it is. This assumption of the subject (the Earth) as a certain predicate – a world, which by the same token is opened up – produces geographical realities. The work of art plays here the role of a scout. Science, on the other hand, will have no rest until it grasps the identity of the subject (that of the logician, which is none other than the physicist’s object). We can thus find a triple homology in the Streit:

    it is at the same time a dispute between Earth and World, between science and art, and between subject and predicate, a dispute which indefinitely begets the moving reality of a certain milieu (Umwelt).

    Interpreta-se aqui o "litígio" (Streit) que Heidegger vê entre a Terra e o Mundo em “L’Origine de l’œuvre d’art” (“A origem da obra de arte”) como o enquanto-que (als) que faz a substância terrestre sair de sua identidade de estentido-abaixo (hupokeimenon, subjectum) para desdobrar seu ser em direção a um predicado insubstancial que é um certo mundo – o Mundo, para nós como é o mundo. Esta assunção do sujeito (a Terra) enquanto um certo predicado – um mundo que ela, por conseguinte, abre – produz as realidades geográficas. Aqui, a obra de arte tem um papel de precursora. A ciência, por outro lado, não pára até que capte a identidade do sujeito (aquele do estudioso de Lógica, que não é outro senão que o objeto do físico). Pode-se ainda traçar uma tripla homologia no Streit: há um litígio entre Terra e Mundo como entre ciência e arte, assim que entre sujeito e predicado, litígio que engendra indefinidamente a realidade movente de um certo meio.
