  • The recent opening of a Trade War, by USA against China, and not only China, will affect simultaneously the maritime traffic and its routes. Although the impact looks not very heavy in principle, it is difficult to say now the true scope of it. In any case, it is not the best “weather” for the maritime transport and the shipping in general.

    The article gives a quick view regarding the age of the world merchant fleet in a scenario in which the environmental questions are playing a critical role in the development of the future demand. Finally, the battle among the main shipbuilders due to disloyal pricing practices as well as subsidies treated as well.
