Desde la última década del siglo pasado, el término gestión ha tomado una importancia relevante en todos los ámbitos de la sociedad. La gestión implica planificación, organización, ejecución y liderazgo, funciones básicas del ciclo directivo, por eso se asegura, al menos en el habla hispana, que dirigir, administrar y gestionar son sinónimos. Para materializar el desarrollo local es necesaria una gestión eficiente de la producción de bienes y servicios en todas las organizaciones de la sociedad por esa razón el presente número se dedica a los resultados obtenidos por investigadores en gestión social de riesgos, de cooperativas, de la ciencia y la tecnología y de la educación superior.

From the last decade of last century, the term administration has taken an excellent importance in all the environments of the society. The administration implies planning, organization, execution and leadership, basic functions of the directive cycle, for that reason he/she makes sure, at least in the Hispanic speech that to direct, to administer and to negotiate is synonymous. To materialize the local development it is necessary an efficient administration of the production of goods and services in all the organizations of the society for that reason the present number is devoted to the results obtained by investigators in social administration of risks, of cooperative, of the science and the technology and of the superior education.
