Sheffield Resources has hit a legal obstacle in its development of the Thunderbird mineral sand project in Kimberly, Australia, in the form of a dispute with traditional landowners.The Full Federal Court has upheld a native title appeal, Sheffield said, in a process designed to protect the interests of local aboriginal groups. The federal court has ruled that the obligation to act in good faith with traditional owners continues even after the matter has been referred to the National Native Title Tribunal (NNTT).
