The origins of the implantation of the Order of St. Clare reveal tensions between Clare of Assisi and the papacy about a new female mendicant model that he wanted to insert into the «ordo monasticus» represented by the new Order of St. Damiano. The first female implantation in the Crown of Castile is studied here, searching the authorial link with the Italian saint with the intention of rebuilding its phenomenology in a network opposed to the papal action and shed light on the manifestation of this problems in the Iberian area.
