Resumen de “Female Extension”, de Cornelia Sollfrank: una obra pionera en el ciberfeminismo

En este artículo realizaremos el análisis de una de las prácticas artísticas que se desarrollaron al comienzo del movimiento ciberfeminista dentro del Net Art inicial de los 90 y que ha sido de gran relevancia para el movimiento debido a su carácter crítico con el sistema, es la la obra: Female Extension, de Cornelia Sollfrank (1997).
Observaremos su propuesta metodológica y cómo se relacionó con el contexto social para el que esta obra fue creada, además de su lectura en la actualidad, ya que por las reacciones que causó merece nuestro análisis y atención.

In this article, we will analyze one of the artistic practices that were developed at the beginning of the cyberfeminist movement within the initial Net Art of the 90s and that has been of great relevance for the movement due to its critical nature with the system, is the work: Female Extension, by Cornelia Sollfrank (1997).
We will observe its methodological proposal and how it was related to the social context for which this work was created, in addition to its current reading, since the reactions it caused deserve our analysis and attention.
