  • The article discusses the use of melanin in dinosaur and extinct animals fossils to examine their color, including in regard to the dinosaur Psittacosaurus's color. The preservation of the cell organelles melanosomes in dinosaur and animals, including the use of melanosomes to determine color, is discussed.
