  • In this article, the author discusses help towards communities across California and the world through new ways for capturing floods and surviving droughts. Topics include climate change, rising population and changing precipitation patterns making historical cycle between droughts and floods more intense, depletion of aquifers as farmers and municipalities aggressively pumping up water, and the 2014 Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) requiring to stop depleting groundwater.
