The planned center in the US, which should be complete in under a year, bodes well for coatings demand despite rising prices.
US paint producer PPG’s massive new distribution center in the United States is a vote of confidence in the coatings market that bodes well for titanium dioxide demand.
PPG on June 5 announced plans for a 450,000-square-foot distribution center in Flower Mound, Texas, which will be completed by May next year. The cost of the project was not disclosed.
“The new facility will strengthen the company’s distribution model and allow for improved, efficient service to PPG’s national accounts, company stores and independent retailers across the US,” the company said.
PPG recently invested around $9 million in 14 new stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
