Unimin parent company Sibelco has boosted its stake in the growing US frac sand market via the merger.
Sibelco has increased its stake in the booming US frac sand market via the completion of a merger between Fairmount Santrol and Unimin to create sand and mineral producer Covia.
Unimin was a wholly owned subsidiary of Belgian Mineral producer Sibelco, which will retain a 65% share in Covia.
