La intención planteada en este trabajo es tratar de abordar ciertos problemas o dudas que pueden aparecer cuando se estudia la relación entre las diferentes comunidades religiosas que han coexistido durante siglos y han llegado al segundo milenio. Se centra el interés en dos de las tres religiones conocidas como las «Religiones del Libro». Judíos y cristianos comparten algunos de los libros que contienen su historia, bases teológicas, normas legales y tradiciones. El tema tratado es el de los encuentros y desencuentros religiosos relacionados con ciertas cuestiones del estatuto personal y especialmente sobre el matrimonio religioso.

These pages try to address some of the questions that may arise when studying the relationship between different religious communities that have coexisted throughout the centuries up to the second millennium. More specifically, they look at Judaism and Christianity, two of the three ‘Religions of the book’. Indeed, the Jewish and Christian religion share some of the books that contain their history, theological basis and legal norms. The purpose of this paper is to explain the agreements and disagreements between them on certain religious questions related to personal status and, especially, religious marriage.
