Quejas de los portadores de lentes de contacto rígidas permeables al gas

    Objetivo: ver que quejas son más frecuentes en los portadores de lentes de contacto (LC) permeables al gas, y que factores influyen en ellas. Métodos: cien pacientes son adaptados con LC de fluoroperm, DK92 (cm/seg) (ml02/ml mm Hg), de superficie posterior elíptica y anterior esférica, espesor central 0.17 mm (para -3 dioptrías), diámtero 9, 8 mm. Al año de uso se les hace una encuesta, preguntando: ¿qué quejas tienen?. Se separan en dos grupos, según manifiesten o no quejas, viendo qué factores hacen más frecuentes las quejas. Los resultados se estudian estadísticamente, analizando las medias y desviaciones estándar de las medias, realizando el contraste con la t de Student. Resultados: De los cien pacientes, 63 manifiestan una o varias quejas, mientras que 37 consideran estas LC excelentes y no tienen ninguna queja. La queja más frecuente ha sido la sensación de cuerpo extraño, manifestada por un 33% de los pacientes, seguida de que con aire molestan (12% de los pacientes), molestan en ambiente cargado (9%), molestan (7%), se mueven (6%), se ensucian (3%), molestan las luces (2%), y otras ya son inapreciables, manifestadas sólo por 1% de los pacientes. Conclusiones: podemos afirmar, de forma estadísticamente significativa (p<0, 05), que disminuye la manifestación de quejas el haber sido portador previo de LC, el limpiarlas todos los días y el tolerarlas muchas horas al día, y aumenta las quejas el haber tenido conjuntivitis con ellas.

    Purpose: We evaluated which are the more frequent complaints in gaspermeable contact lenses wearers (CL), and which factors influenciate them.

    Methods: a hundred patients are adapted with fluoroperm CL, DK 92 (cm/sec(ml OJmmHg), anterior lens surface is eliptic and posterior lens surface is spherical, central thickness is 0.17 mm (for -3 dioptries), diameter 9.8 mm. A test is done after a year of wearing, question is: which complaints do you have?. They are separated in two groups, depending on if they present or not complaints. The results are statistically studied, analysing the means and standard deviations of the means, and doing the contrast with the T-Student.

    Results: 63 of the hundred patients manifestate one or several complaints, while 37 considerate these CL excelents and don't have any complaint. The most frequent complaint are the sensation of foreign body, manifestated by a 33% of the patients, followed by that they annoy with air ( 12% of patients), they annoy on charged ambient (9%), they annoy (7%), they move (6%), they soil (3%), they annoy with lights (2%), and others are yet unappreciable, manifestated only by an 1% of the patients.

    Conclusions: We can affirm that, on a statistically significative way, (p<0.05), the complaints decrease on patients that are previous CL wearers, when cleaned everyday and when tolerated many hours a day, and increase when having conjunctivitis with them.
