  • This article discusses research, which will be published in the journal "Proceedings of the Royal Society B," into the possible genetic origins of psychological differences between optimists and pessimists. Scientists studied the relationship between genetically linked expressions of serotonin and an individual's predisposition to focus on pleasant things and ignore the unpleasant.
