Resumen de Improbable planets.

Michael W. Werner, Michael A. Jura

  • This article discusses the diverse characteristics of planets that are located in other solar systems including those that orbit white dwarfs, neutron stars, and brown dwarfs. The fact that planetary bodies orbiting white dwarfs, brown dwarfs, and neutron stars either survived the demise of their solar system or coalesced from the debris produced by that system is noted. The relationship between the identification of planets and the possible existence of life on other planets is noted.
