  • The article discusses research on the glacier Pine Island Glacier using seafloor maps. Topics include the work of a team led by researcher Jan Erik Arndt, the role of a warm water current in eroding the glacier, and collisions between the glacier and submerged rocks. The relation of the research to sea level rise and iceberg calving is noted.
