The article reports on research results presented by Katherine Guevorkian from Brown University at the American Physical Society meeting in March 2006. Living tissues become magnetic in response to an external magnetic field. Researchers reversed the gravity field felt by the paramecium, a single-cell organism, and found that it continues swimming in magnetic fields that simulate up to 10 g's.
