  • The article discusses telescope technology and the direction it is going. While traditional knowledge suggests that telescopes double in size every few decades, contemporary telescope designers believe they can build a telescope possibly ten times bigger than the current standard within ten years. Larger telescopes have the benefit of detecting fainter objects and producing crisper images.
