Resumen de Coautoría hispano portuguesa en el área de information science & library science de la web of science

  El presente estudio pretende identificar el nivel de colaboración existente entre autores españoles y portugueses en la categoría científica de Information Science & Library Science. Para ello, se extraen todas los registros correspondientes a publicaciones indexadas en la base de datos Web of Science en dicha categoría que cuenten con al menos un autor afiliado a una institución de España y Portugal, y son introducidos en una base de datos diseñada ad-hoc en la que se realizan las consultas pertinentes así como los procesos de normalización necesarios para obtener datos tales como, porcentaje de documentos en colaboración entre ambos países, autores implicados en dicha relación, así como instituciones de afiliación de los mismos, colaboración con autores de otros países, revistas utilizadas para la publicación de dichos trabajos, e idioma y tipo documental utilizado por los autores para la difusión de los mismos. Se concluye que el porcentaje de colaboración entre autores de España y Portugal en el área de Information Science & Library Science es muy bajo (0,72 % en España y 5,16 % en Portugal), que sólo dos autores poseen 3 trabajos en colaboración, que la Universidad de Alcalá es la institución que aglutina un mayor número de documentos en colaboración en el área estudiada, seguida de el Instituto Universitario de Lisboa y la Universidade de Coimbra, que más del 70 % de los trabajos publicados son artículos, y que el idioma principal de publicación es el inglés (más del 65 %), y que las fuentes más elegidas por los autores son El Profesional de la Información, Revista Española de Documentación Científica, Qualitative and Quantitative Methods in Libraries y Scientometrics.

  The current study aims to identify the level of collaboration between authors from Spain and Portugal in the scientific category of Information Science & Library Science. To do this, all the records corresponding to publications indexed in the Web of Science database in that category, that have at least one author affiliated to an institution from Spain and Portugal, are extracted and included to a database designed ad-hoc in which the relevant queries are carried out, as well as the standardization processes necessary to obtain data such as percentage of documents in collaboration between the two countries, authors involved in this relationship, as well as affiliation institutions, collaboration with authors of other countries, journals used for the publication of such works, and the documentary language and type used by the authors for their dissemination. It is concluded that the percentage of collaboration between authors from Spain and Portugal in the area of Information Science & Library Science is very low (0,72% in Spain and 5,16% in Portugal), that only two authors have 3 works in collaboration , that the University of Alcalá is the institution that brings together a greater number of documents in collaboration in the area studied, followed by the University Institute of Lisbon and the University of Coimbra, that more than 70% of the published works are articles, and that the main language of publication is English (more than 65%), and that the sources most chosen by the authors are El Profesional de la Información Revista Española de Documentación Científica, Qualitative and Quantitative Methods in Libraries and Scientometrics.
