  • Zastrow reports how the AlphaGo artificial intelligence (AI) outsmarted Lee Sedol, one of Go's leading players. leathng players. The AlphaGo AI was ahead from the opening game. AlphaGo flashed its calculating nature towards the end of the game two, when it seemed to make a mistake that allowed Lee to capture several stones. Sedol blinked in disbelief, but it was false hope. AlphaGo didn't care about the margin of victory--it makes whichever move will maximize its chances of winning. AlphaGo went into death throes, playing increasingly bizarre moves.
