La Relación de ayuda es uno de los pilares fundamentales del trabajo en Enfermería. Preocupados por este tema, exponemos, en primer lugar; nuestra concepción de la relación de ayuda basándonos principalmente en la psicología humanista. Seguidamente hacemos un breve resumen de la historia de la misma parándonos un poco más en algunas de las personas que a nuestro parecer más han aportado a la clarificación de la misma. Finalmente señalamos algunas de las líneas en las que se sigue investigando,

Support Relationship is one of the basic mainstays of the job carried out by nurses in the ward. Being worried about this issue, we first of all put forward our conception ofthis type ofrelationship basing our ideas on humanist psychology mainly. Afterwards we give a brief summary of its history highlighting some ofthe people who, from our point of view, have contrbuted to its clarification. Lastly we show some of the lines of inquiry along which research is being carried out nowadays.
