  • The article discusses art and art galleries in the Middle East, focusing on the the emirates of Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The author comments on collaboration between European and Middle Eastern artists, museum employees, and dealers, but points out possible sources of contention, including gay rights, women's rights, attitudes toward Israel, and representations of nudity. Museums mentioned include the Louvre Abu Dhabi and Qatar's Museum of Islamic Art.
