  • The article discusses the author's preference for less prominent artists. He reveals that he prefers the abstract expressionist James Brooks over the abstract expressionist Willem de Kooning, and artist Sidney Nolan over painter Lucian Freud. The article traces the author's disposition toward less famous artists to his father, whose fondness for actor Ralph Meeker is analyzed.
