  • The article reports on Phyllis Kind and her art gallery. Kind was born Phyllis Cobin in 1933 and she opened Pro Grafica Arte in Chicago, Illinois following the completion of her studies at the University of Chicago and sold master prints. In the late 1960s she opened the Phyllis Kind Gallery in Chicago, and in 1979 a gallery space in Soho, New York City. In 1999 she closed the Chicago gallery and, following a stroke in 2008, will be retiring as an art dealer and art gallery owner.
