  • The article discusses the easing of the embargo on Cuba by the United States enacted by the administration of U.S. president Barack Obama. The article was written in advance of the admittance to the United State of eight Cuban artists to create installations for a show titled "Queloides/Keloids: Race and Racism in Cuban Contemporary Art," at the Mattress Factory gallery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
