The article reports on the art auction in Paris, France of works from the collection of late fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, hosted by Christie's and Pierre Bergé Associates, auction company of the designer's life partner. Discussed in particular is the foiled sale of two Chinese bronze animal heads, which the government of China unsuccessfully sought to have repatriated before the auction. Instead, Chinese collector Cai Mingchao won them for a record price and then refused to pay.
