  • The article reports on paintings and motion pictures. In 1995 Bill Viola created the film "The Greeting" which is a reimagining of the painting "Visitation" by Pontormo, otherwise known as Jacopo Carucci. Eve Sussman created the film "89 Seconds at Alcázar" in 2004 which is associated with the painting "Las Meninas" by Diego Velázquez.
