  • The article explores the history of art, architecture and the art scene in southern California during the 1960s and 1970s. Emphasis is given to the construction of houses by designers Ray and Charles Eames, the modernist architecture of artist Albert Frey in the metropolitan area of Los Angeles, California, and the environmentally sensitive aspects of architecture in southern California.
