The article reviews three exhibitions of modern and contemporary jewelry: "Wiener Werkstätte Jewelry" at the Neue Galerie in New York City; "Calder Jewelry" by Alexander Calder, also in New York, at the Metropolitan Museum or Art; and "Ornament as Art: Avant-Garde Jewelry from the Helen Williams Drutt Collection" at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston in Texas.
