  • The article discusses American painter Elizabeth Peyton, whose work is on display in New York City at the same time as two other female artists: Marlene Dumas and Catherine Opie. Peyton's portraits of rock musicians, royalty, and beautiful men are discussed, as are the gender implications of her work.
