This article discusses the impact of the 2008 financial crisis on the Los Angeles, California Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA). Reports indicating that MOCA has been spending down principal from its endowment are discussed. The possibility that a merger or partnership with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art will result from this untenable financial state is considered.
