  • An introduction to a reprint of the article "New Talent: The Computer," by Stan VanDerBeek, which was printed in a 1969 issue of the periodical "Art in America (A.i.A.) is presented. Two art exhibitions from 1970 are also discussed including "Software: Information Technology—Its New Meaning for Art," which was held at the Jewish Museum in New York City, and "Explorations," which was held at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.
