  • The article focuses on several studies regarding the diagnostic potential of patients' language. Topics discussed include the correlation of psychosis with shorter sentences, loss of flow in meaning, and less usage of words that, what, and which, the use of recorded sentences with verbs associated with hand shapes to diagnose early-stage Parkinson's disease, and the disruption of grammar usage in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
