  • The article discusses a decline in the volume of electronic mail. The author notes the drop-off is particularly acute in the 25-35 age range and among teenagers, who often prefer using text messages, instant messaging, or social media such as the Twitter microblogging service. Nevertheless, the author believes electronic mail has features that ensure while its use may be diminishing, it will not disappear completely.
