Resumen de From Babbling Bats to Baby Talk.

Jason G. Goldman

  • The article looks at a study on vocal learning in Egyptian fruit bats, published in the journal "Science Advances" by zoologists Yosef Prat, Mor Taub, and Yossi Yovel. The researchers compared vocal learning in a group of bats raised in a colony and a group of bats raised isolation with their mothers and exposed to adult bat chatter through a speaker after they were weaned. The isolated bats continued their immature babbling longer than the bats raised in a colony.
