Resumen de Racismo discursivo: O caso Marielle Franco e a cobertura da mídia internacional

  In this article we analyze the discursive forms present in the mediatic discourse of an international periodical about the coverage of the murder of councilwoman Marielle Franco and the relations between Police violence and racism, impregnated in the debate about the coverage of the event. The objective is to explore the current scenario using the qualitative methodology of discourse analysis by the Dutch sociologist Van Dijk and how this discussion portrays the black man and the police, through the analysis of an exclusive report of the online version of the Washington Post, March 23, 2018, with the title: After Marielle Franco's murder, I'm not hopeful for black Brazilians. It was observed the use of techniques of domination by the symbolic elites and a manipulative narrative from the discursive point of view.

  Neste artigo foram analisadas formas discursivas presentes no discurso midiático de um periódico internacional sobre a cobertura do assassinato da vereadora Marielle Franco e as relações entre violência policial e racismo, inerentes ao debate da cobertura deste evento. Neste contexto, o objetivo deste estudo foi explorar o cenário atual de divulgação do assassinato de Marielle Franco utilizando a metodologia qualitativa da análise do discurso, proposta pelo Sociólogo holandês Teun Van Dijk. Ainda, buscou-se avaliar como esta discussão retrata o negro e a polícia no campo jornalístico-informacional e seus significados, a partir da análise de uma reportagem exclusiva da versão online do jornal norte-americano The Washington Post, publicado em 23 de março de 2018, com o título: After Marielle Franco’s murder, i’m not hopeful for black Brazilians. Os resultados obtidos neste estudo indicam que o discurso negativo direcionado aos indivíduos de raça negra foi prioridade na cobertura jornalística avaliada, e corrobora substancialmente para a concepção de idéias potencialmente segregadoras. Caracterizandose como uma nova modalidade de racismo.
