    A lo largo de 2017 y en los próximos dos años, América Latina atravesará una coyuntura crítica, tanto desde una perspectiva política como social, económica e internacional. Entre 2017 y 2019 y como consecuencia de un intenso ciclo electoral se votará en catorce países. Los resultados de estas elecciones determinarán la identidad de los próximos gobernantes, fundamental para saber no solo si estamos frente a un nuevo ciclo político, sino también para estimar la viabilidad de muchas de las reformas necesarias para insertar definitivamente a la región en el mundo globalizado. Este trabajo pretende dar cuenta de la situación actual, desde una múltiple perspectiva, atendiendo a algunos de los cambios que puedan producirse en el futuro inmediato.

    Se constata que, a diferencia de los años anteriores, la región es mucho más compleja, más diversa y está más alejada de los hegemonismos y las unanimidades del pasado.

    Throughout 2017 and over the next two years, Latin America will be at a critical juncture, from a political, social, economic and even international perspective.

    Between 2017 and 2019, as a consequence of an intense electoral cycle, elections we be held in 14 countries. The results of these elections will determine the identity of the next rulers and, accordingly, will not only indicate whether we are facing a new political cycle, but will also allow us to assess the feasibility of many of the reforms needed to permanently integrate the region into the globalised world. This article aims to account for the current situation, from a multiple perspective, taking into account any changes that may occur in the immediate future. It is noted that, unlike in previous years, the region is much more complex, more diverse and further away from the hegemonism and unanimity of the past.
