Before NASA;s New Horizons probe flew past Pluto in July, those behind the project were worried that the dwarf planet would be boring. The fly-by showed that the dwarf planet is more alive than anyone predicted, full of weird geology from glacier-carved valleys to broad mounds that look like ice volcanoes.
