  • Resumen
    • The article focuses on research into chemicals produced by plants to protect them from insects and other creatures and the health benefits that these chemicals may provide humans. It states that exposure to plant chemicals results in mild stress reactions resulting in the process of cellular resistance called hormesis. It comments on the role of antioxidants in health and neutralizing free radicals and suggests hormesis helps strengthen cells and may lead to treatments of brain diseases.
