The article reports on a study by researchers at New York University's Langone Medical Center which suggests that people who wear contact lenses have a higher diversity of bacteria living on the surface of their eyes. According to the researchers, these results may explain the increased incidence of eye infections in people who wear contact lenses. The bacteria Pseudomonas is also discussed.
