  • Resumen
    • The article examines how many children have been incorrectly diagnosed with food allergies due to inaccurate skin-prick tests. Details are provided on a study by allergist J. Andrew Bird which found that such tests show signs of irritation 50 to 60 percent of the time even when allergies are not present. Information is also included on a placebo-controlled test that may be more accurate despite being more expensive and uncommon.
