  • The article discusses the development of empathetic robots designed to understand and share in human emotion. The author goes on to cover how such developments in robotics can be used not only as personal assistants but companions. Particular attention is given to Pepper, a humanoid built by the firm Aldebaran Robotics, and Jibo, a personal assistant robot designed by engineer Roberto Pieraccini.
