  • The article profiles odor scientist and engineer Ned Ostojic. Details on his use of a proprietary olfactometer, called the Nasal Ranger, and on his work in mitigating smells at the Newtown Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant in Brooklyn, New York City, are presented. Ostojic also uses gas chromatography to map the odor footprints of substances such as paint fumes and decomposing garbage.
