    • The article discusses the development of a three-dimensional (3D) atlas of individual genes in the brains of healthy humans and mice by the authors and their colleagues at the Allen Institute for Brain Science in Seattle, Washington. Topics include the discovery of similar patterns of gene activity in humans, such as RNA production, in various parts of the brain, such as the cerebral cortex, comparative gene activity in rhesus monkeys, and mice models in neurobiology research of humans.
