  • The author discusses smartwatch technology, arguing that models available as of June 2014 such as the Galaxy Gear from Samsung have little consumer appeal. Suggested smartwatch flaws include their large size and poor fashion appeal, their reliance on specific smartphone companion models, and the limited performance of software applications on the devices. The author suggests fitness tracking is a more worthy wearable technology.
